The FdA Interactive Media course is an industry focussed Foundation Degree, taught over 2 years covering all aspects of current media technology. The course has an excellent reputation for finding students employment and many students find jobs before they graduate.

Students are encouraged to realise their ambitions and staff take time to ensure that students develop to their personal strengths. The course can lead to a career in Web Design, Video/Film post-production, live performance, image retouching and compositing, 3D modelling and games design. The work on the showreel is a combination of first and second year work completed over the last year. It demonstrates the diversity of talent produced by the course.

Through the Institute’s Enterprise Pavilion the course runs its own design company to channel the numerous live projects. Recent projects have included promo video’s for the band Underworld, lighting design for the last Maximo Park UK tour, VJ Broadcasts for Glastonbury Festival, web sites design for United Nations Multimedia Awards, Virtual Puppeteers and many more. Students will gain valuable experience working with clients whilst studying for their FdA.

After graduating with a Foundation Degree students can choose to stay on for an additional year on the BA(Hons) Graphic Design (Interactive Media) course.
